Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev secured his maiden championship for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
Medvedev, a former top-ranked player, has endured a difficult period, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - led to him falling of the elite rankings and ultimately separating with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard court from that period of 2023.
The win also signifies Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at twenty-one different events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a championship is particularly special," stated tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, including in that event earlier this year.
His defensive strategy and frequent outbursts on court had caused some to question if his skill to play at the highest level was finished.
But the 29-year-old has altered his approach in the past month, attempting to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, taking four of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The pair traded service breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.
Moutet rescued four early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev broke to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a point at the net, with Moutet unable to handle a volley after a lengthy match.
